The Philadelphia Flyers agreed to terms on a two-year, $5 million extension with restricted free agent forward Brayden Schenn on Monday. Oscar Lindberg Jersey . According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the deal will pay Schenn $2.25 million in the first year and $2.75 million in the second year. In 82 games with the Flyers in 2013-14, Schenn scored 20 goals and added 21 assists.  He had three assists in seven playoff games. The 22-year-old centre was drafted fifth overall at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He was acquired by the Flyers along with Wayne Simmonds and a second-round draft pick in exchange for Mike Richards. Schenn just finished the final year of the three-year entry-level contract he signed prior to the 2010-11 season worth an average annual value of $3.11 million including performance bonuses. In 192 career games with the Kings and Flyers, Schenn has scored 40 goals and 87 points. James Neal Golden Knights Jersey .com) - James Harden needed just seven made field goals to drop 35 points on the Philadelphia 76ers, leading the Houston Rockets to a 104-93 win on Monday. Jonathan Marchessault Golden Knights Jersey . Jose Bautista homered for the fifth straight game in the sixth inning, following a two-out solo homer by Melky Cabrera. Edwin Encarnacion led off the seventh with a homer to tie the game 3-3 and, with two out in the seventh, Munenori Kawasaki came through with the two-out single to score pinch-runner Steve Tolleson with what proved to be the winning run. http://www.authenticgoldenknightsproshop...ts-jersey/ . Cincinnati has lost back-to-back games in overtime, wasting a chance to take a commanding lead in their division.MARSEILLE, France -- Defending champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga came through a stern test against 117th-ranked Jan-Lennard Struff to win 7-6 (4), 7-5 Saturday, setting up an Open 13 final against third-seeded Ernests Gulbis of Latvia after he upset top-seeded Richard Gasquet of France 6-3, 6-2. Tsonga was pressured by the German player in both sets. The Frenchman saved five break points in the first set. Struff broke his opponent at the start of the second set, before saving three break points of his own in the next game. But Tsongas experience told when he broke Struff twice at the end of the second set to reach his 19th career final, where he will bid for an 11th title. He leads 3-1 in career head-to-heads against Gulbis, who has won all four of his previous finals. In beating Gasquet for the first time at his third attemppt, Gulbis had 15 aces and proved clinical on Gasquets normally strong serve, converting three of his four break-point chances. Oscar Dansk Golden Knights Jersey. . "Today was very good. Everything was working: serve, backhand," Gulbis said. "I was a bit tired from yesterday, so I just tried to keep the points short and I felt so good doing that." It was a frustrating afternoon for Gasquet, who again fell at the semifinal stage after his defeat to countryman Gael Monfils at the Open Sud de France in Marseille earlier this month. "It was very difficult for me. He was just better," Gasquet said. "On a fast surface like this, its very tough to play against somebody like Ernests. He was just more powerful than me and didnt have any weakness. I didnt have any chances, not a single break point." ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington decided it was time to shake up his lineup a bit. Authentic Omri Casspi Jersey . With a few switches in the batting order, and an impressive performance by young starter Nick Tepesch, the Rangers ended their longest losing streak in nearly nine years. Adrian Beltre homered and Shin-Soo Choo had three hits in his return to the leadoff spot while Tepesch allowed only three singles over 7 1-3 scoreless innings, and the Rangers beat the Minnesota Twins 5-4 on Friday night. "He was outstanding. We needed a well-pitched game and he gave it to us," said Washington, who liked his lineup. "Well run the same one out there tomorrow and see what happens." The Rangers went into the opener of the weekend series mired in its first eight-game losing streak since August 2005. "Its nice to end any negative streak," said Beltre, who added a sacrifice fly in the eighth that proved to be the margin of victory. "Its one of those things, you dont want to throw any at-bat away." Minnesota has lost its last nine road games, including a three-game sweep at the Los Angeles Angels before getting to Texas. The Twins came up short after scoring four runs in the ninth off Texas closer Joakim Soria, making only his second appearance since June 14. Choo led off for the first time in 18 games while Carlos Pena, in only his fourth game back with the Rangers, took over the No. 3 spot where Choo had hit .149 (10 for 67) since June 7. And Washingtons change paid off immediately when Choo had a leadoff single in the first and scored on Beltres ninth homer, which just cleared the fence and landed in the Rangers bullpen in right-centre field. "I said earlier that doesnt make a difference. I knew this would happen after the game and I was sure people would ask me about it, but its not ... I dont think anything changed as far as approach," Choo said about leading off, though he acknowledged that, "Im a little more comfortable there, Ive done it for the last two years." Tepesch (3-3) struck out five, walked two and hit two batters, while matching his longest major league start. He has won all three of his career starts against the Twins, allowing only three earned runs in 20 2-3 innings. "Just able to command all four of my pitches, and just commanding them in the zone and out of the zone," Tepesch said. Kevin Correia (4-9) allowed four runs and six hits over six innings. The right-hander, who struck out three and walked two, had given up only two earned runs over 18 innings his previous three starts. Jason Frasor and Neal Cotts each got an out in the eighth after Tepesch gave up a one-out hit to Minnesota leadoff hitter Brian Dozer. Jorge Polancos two-run triple in the ninth for his first major league hit that made it 5-4. Soria, who had given up just one earned over 20 2-3 innings his previous 22 games, then got a strikeout and grounder to end the game. Luis Sardinas and Choo had RBI doubles in the fifth, both on balls that left fielder Josh Willingham tried to catch. Sardinas hit a sinking liner down the left-field line that rolled into the corner after Willingham made a diving attempt to catch it. Choo hit a flyball that glanced off Willinghams glove when he ran into the 14-foot fence. "Diving full out down the line, diving up against the wall in left field," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "What cant you like about that? Hes trying to make a play." NOTES: Rangers ace Yu Darvish (7-4, 2.62 ERA) is scheduled to start Saturday. He lost his last two starts, allowing 12 runs (eight earned) over 11 innings. ... Phil Hughes (8-3) pitches the middle game for the Twins. ... 1B/OF Brad Snyder declined an outright assignment to Triple-A Round Rock and took free agency Friday, three days after the Rangers designated him for assignment. Jonathan Quick made 26 saves, thwarting a huge Blackhawks surge in front of Los Angeles net in the final minute.I think we needed a win real bad, and to get it against a team like Chicago is real good, Toffoli said. Tonight was a night that we wanted to prove to ourselves that we could win big games, and we did it.Andrew Shaw slipped a tricky shot past Quick for his ninth goal of the season 2:25 into the third, but Toffoli eventually answered with his 13th goal, scoring from the slot to highlight a strong first game back from a six-game absence with mononucleosis.Moments later, Muzzin got a shot from the blue line past Corey Crawford with an apparent deflection off the stick of Chicagos Niklas Hjalmarsson. Crawford refused to speculate on whether he had faced interference on the last goal.Im not going to talk about that, because Id probably get fined or something, said Crawford, who stopped 23 shots.Quicks big finish capped another memorable meeting between the teams that have won the last three Stanley Cup titles and four of five. The Kings eliminated the Blackhawks in an epic conference finals last summer, winning Game 7 in overtime in Chicago with Alec Martinezs deflected goal off Nick Leddy.Theyre a top team, and they have been for a long time, Carter said. Hopefully its a big confidence boost for us. After having some ups andd downs, hopefully we can build off it and keep going. Authentic Lorenzen Wright Jersey. Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp had a goal and an assist apiece in the first period for the Blackhawks, who had won four straight regular-season games over Los Angeles. Chicago opened a six-game road trip with just its second loss in 10 games at Staples Center. Its disappointing. We played 55 solid minutes of hockey, captain Jonathan Toews said. We just made some mistakes that ended up in our own net. ... We knew it was going to be a tough game, and we hung in there. It was looking pretty good for us with that 3-2 lead late in the third, but we found a way to blow it.The Kings played their first regular-season game since December 2011 without $69 million centre Mike Richards, who was waived on Monday and demoted to the AHL on Tuesday after managing just five goals in the first 47 games.Perhaps not coincidentally, Los Angeles got a monster performance from Carter, Richards longtime teammate in Philadelphia and again in Los Angeles. Carter had just his second multigoal game of the season, along with numerous near-misses and big plays.Carter scored his first goal while skating backward after stickhandling adroitly through traffic. He tied it again in the second period after winning a puck battle with Toews and wiring a shot over prone defenceman Brent Seabrook.Although the clubs played a penalty-free third period, the Blackhawks lamented a few borderline calls that werent made.I think (the officials) were kind of maybe playing catch-up after we got a few power plays, Kane said. I think we may have sat back a little bit and waited for (the Kings) to come at us. And usually when we do that, bad things happen, as you could see.NOTES: Richards streak of 224 consecutive games played for the Kings ended. He is making $7 million this season and is under contract until 2020. ... The Kings open their annual Grammys road trip on Saturday, a five-game stretch beginning in Boston. ... Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price will not be in uniform on Wednesday night when the team hosts the Detroit Red Wings, or on Thursday night when they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins, head coach Michel Therrien told reporters after the morning practice. Authentic Al Jefferson Jersey . Price was hurt at the start of Wednesdays practice after facing just one shot as the team worked on their power play. He left the ice in discomfort and appeared to be favouring his leg. A Habs source told TSNs John Lu that Price suffered the injury in Sochi and not before the Olympics. Earlier in the day, head coach Michel Therrien told reporters the goaltender was battling the injury before he left for Russia and that his condition worsened during the Games. "During the Olympics, Carey aggravated a lower-body injury," he said. "He will not play the next two games and hes day-to-day." The team later announced that Dustin Tokarski was being called up from Hamilton of the AHL. Therrien already said Tuesday that Peter Budaj would start against the Red Wings. Price returned home from Sochi this week following an impressive performance at the Winter Olympics, capturing the gold medal with Canadas mens hockey team. He did not participate in the Canadiens Monday practice and took Tuesday off. Detroit Red Wings coach Mike Babcock, who also coached Canada in Sochi, said he was unaware of Price reportedly aggravating an injury during the Games. "I didnt know anything about Carey Price being injured. All I know is that he played real well for us," Babcock said Wednesday. Prior to the Olympic break, Price was 26-17-5 through 48 games with the Canadiens and boasted a .925 save-percentage and 2.33 goals-against average. Cheap Pacers Jerseys Free Shipping . VANCOUVER -- Steve Mason had a busy night Monday, but he was not complaining. Custom New York Mets Jerseys . The Philadelphia goaltender posted 41 saves as he backstopped the Flyers to a comeback 4-3 shootout win over the Vancouver Canucks. "It was the first time in a long time that we have given up over 30 shots, so I actually enjoyed it," said Mason. "It was nice to get into a game and feel like you are doing something out there." Vincent Lecavalier scored the shootout winner as the Flyers prevailed after trailing 2-1 in the second period and 3-2 late in the third. Lecavalier scored on a deke on Philadelphias first attempt and three Vancouver shooters could not beat Mason as the Flyers (19-16-4) posted their third straight win and sixth in eight games. The Canucks (23-11-7) suffered only their third loss in the past eight games. But more significantly, Vancouver missed a chance to move into a tie for fifth place in the Western Conference after the Kings lost earlier Monday to Chicago. "I thought we played good to get a point, but it pisses me off we dont get two," said Vancouver coach John Tortorella. The Flyers have not lost in Vancouver in nearly 14 years, with their last setback coming Dec. 31, 1989, but they were in danger of suffering another loss here for most of the game. Mark Streit, Claude Giroux and Brayden Schenn also scored for the Flyers. Giroux also had an assist and further bolstered his chances of playing for Canadas Olympic team as he extended his point streak to nine games. Brayden Schenn forced overtime and the shootout as he scored in the final minute of the third period after Daniel Sedin put the Canucks ahead with less than three minutes remaining. Schenn made up for a miscue by his older brother Luke, who inadvertently put the puck into his own net after Mason got his blocker on Daniel Sedins long shot from near the blue-line. "I guess (there was) a little brotherly love there," said Mason. "Luke was just trying to get back to the net there and I was putting my rebound where I wanted to and just an unfortunate bounce, things like that happen. (Its) just unfortunate it put us in that position." Tom Sestito and Jannik Hansen had Vancouvers other goals. Hansen was less than pleased after the Canucks lost despite outshooting the Flyers 44-27. "This game had no business going into overtime," said Hansen. "We should have closed this out quite earlier. a We need to score on our chances. Its not because we dont have them. We had quality opportunities in the third and even in overtime to get it done before the shootout." Mason, who recorded 42 saves, now has matched the 16 wins he produced with Columbus in 2011-12, when a full campaign was last played. Vancouver counterpart Eddie Lack, making his second consecutive start and third appearance in place of injured No. 1 netminder Roberto Luongo, finished with 25 saves. Tortorella was pleased that his club earned three of a possible four points in back-to-back games after earning a win the night before in Calgary. But he was angry that his team failed to control a key face-off prior to Brayden Schenns tying goal. "The mistake on the face-off, thats aggravating," said Tortorella. "Thats what keeps you out of playoffs, plays like that, the details, the face-offs. I thought we played our ass off back-to-back. We created a tremendous amount of scoring chances, but you kick yourself in the teeth for the lack of detail on the face-off." Vancouver could not score on its four power plays while Philadelphia was blanked on its three. The Flyers led 1-0 after the first period and the clubs were tied 2-2 following the second. Streit opened the scoring at 15:24 of the first period, putting in a backhand shot as the puck came to him after Canucks defenceman Dan Hamhuis denied Michael Raffl on a wraparound attempt. Sestito, a fourth-liner wanted mostly for his toughness, forged a 1-1 tie at 4:24 of the second period as he put in a Hamhuis rebound. With just under five minutes left in the second, Lack took a Wayne Simmonds shot to the mask. Despite losing his headgear on the play, Lack came up smiling and showed no ill effects. Less than a minute later, Hansen put the Canucks ahead 2-1 as he completed a nifty give-and-go with Daniel Sedin and tapped the puck into an open net. But Giroux pulled the Flyers even about two minutes later as took a lead pass from Raffl, fought his way up the middle through Hamhuis and Chris Tanev, and flicked the puck behind Lack from in close. Masons late stellar stops included denying Daniel Sedin on a breakaway early in the third and Ryan Kesler twice in the final minute of overtime. "Same story as the start of the year," said Giroux. "He kept us in the games and now to kind of get a win for him, its huge." Notes: Luongo worked out with Canucks goaltending coach Roland Melanson during a morning skate that involved a few players, including injured defenceman Alex Edler (undisclosed). a Simmonds was denied a chance to become the first Flyer to score multiple goals in four consecutive games in the 46-season history of the Philadelphia franchise. Reggie Leach (1976 and 1981) and Ross Lonsberry (1976) are the only other Flyers to record two or more goals in three straight games. a Defenceman Frank Corrado played his first game for Vancouver this season after being called up from Utica of the AHL earlier in the day. He replaced Andrew Alberts, who was injured Sunday on a high hit from Brian McGrattan in Calgary. McGrattan was assessed an elbowing major and game misconduct for the infraction. Corrado played for the Canucks late in the regular season and playoffs last season after playing his final junior campaign in the OHL. a Canucks captain Henrik Sedin played in his 670th consecutive NHL game. 02:55ET 31-12-13 Jay Bruce Jersey . Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points, Shawn Marion had 22 and the Mavericks beat undermanned Philadelphia 124-112 Friday night, handing the 76ers their 10th straight loss. The Mavericks led from the start and never trailed, taking a 22-point lead and staying ahead by double digits most of the game. But they had to earn this one. "It was exactly the kind of game we expected," Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said. "We expected it to be 48 minutes of hell with them chasing the ball all over the place. (Brett Brown) coaches his team harder than any coach in the league." A day after dismantling the roster and trading away Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes and Lavoy Allen, the Sixers had just eight players in uniform. Thaddeus Young scored 30 and Michael Carter-Williams had 25 for Philadelphia, which has looked toward next season and beyond since training camp. "They played hard," Brown said. "Were trying to identify athletes and how they compete." The Sixers, who have the NBAs second-worst record, made four trades before Thursdays deadline, giving up three players and a draft pick for five players and six second-round draft picks between 2014 and 2018. Theyre hoping for a top-3 draft pick and trying to clear space under the salary cap to make a run at quality free agents. "Were focused on building something for Philadelphia to put a program in a place to compete when it matters," general manager Sam Hinkie said. "And we feel that yesterday was just another step in that process." While the Sixers eye the future, the Mavericks are making a playoff push. Theyre in a tight battle with four teams for the final three playoff spots in the West. "They have a bunch of fast, athletic guys," Nowitzki said of Philadelphia. "Give them credit. They kept competing." Nowitzki hit consecutive 3s in the opening minutes. The Mavericks were up by 22 after Vince Carter nailed a 3 late in the first quarter, and made 16 of their first 21 shots. Sloppy play and a slew of turnovers by the Mavericks allowed the Sixers too make a run in the second quarter. Gary Carter Jersey. They pulled within 55-50 following an 8-0 run and trailed 69-62 at halftime. "We knew they would make a run," Marion said. "They have talented guys. We kept our composure and were able to sustain the lead." After Philadelphia closed to within 77-73 in the third quarter, Nowitzki nailed another 3, the Mavericks scored nine straight and put the game away. At one point, Nowitzki and Marion were a combined 17 for 19 from the floor. Nowitzki made his first five from beyond the arc before missing two straight. Carter-Williams, a leading candidate for Rookie of the Year, Young and injured rookie Nerlens Noel are cornerstones for Philadelphia going forward. Young was disappointed he didnt go to a contender, but wouldnt let that affect his performance. He had 13 rebounds and took a career-high 29 shots, making 12. "This situation, I dont know how much worse it could get," Young said before the game. Young became just the second player to have at least 30 points, 13 rebounds, seven steals and six assists since steals became a stat in 1973-74. Hakeem Olajuwon had 38 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and seven steals along with 12 blocks for Houston vs. Seattle on March 10, 1987. Turner, a former No. 2 overall pick, and Allen went to Indiana for veteran Danny Granger and a pick. Hawes was traded to Cleveland for Earl Clark, Henry Sims and two picks. Eric Maynor came from Washington along with two picks from other teams. Byron Mullens was acquired from the Clippers with a pick for a protected second-rounder. NOTES: Carter-Williams had his eighth game of at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. All other NBA rookies have eight combined. ... The Mavericks have won 13 of last 16 games vs. Philadelphia. ... DeJuan Blair had 18 points and Jose Calderon had 10 assists for Dallas. ... Maynor was the only new player in uniform and available. ... The Sixers already waived Clark. ... Granger showed up to Pacers practice Friday to say goodbye to former teammates. ... Landover, MD (SportsNetwork. Brandon Spikes College Jersey .com) - Kai Forbath kicked a 26-yard field goal with five seconds remaining to lift the Washington Redskins to a 27-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. The Redskins snapped a six-game losing streak and dealt a significant blow to the Eagles playoff hopes. Philadelphia has lost three straight games since a Thanksgiving win at Dallas gave it sole possession of first place in the NFC East. A win at home by the Cowboys against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday will eliminate the Eagles from postseason contention. The Eagles (9-6) have been prone to turning the ball over this season and cornerback Bashaud Breeland intercepted Mark Sanchezs pass at the Washington 42-yard inside the two-minute warning. Robert Griffin III then threw a short pass to Pierre Garcon, who spun out of a defenders grasp for a 23-yard gain. A roughing the passer penalty tacked on 15 more yards and the Redskins added one more first down, forcing Philadelphia to use each of its three timeouts before Forbath nailed the go-ahead kick. The Eagles, who had erased a 24-14 deficit, were still alive with three seconds remaining because Forbath drilled Trey Burton with the kickoff at midfield. Cornerback David Amerson knocked down Sanchezs pass in the end zone to end the game. Griffin completed 16-of-23 passes for 220 yards with one interception and Darrel Young had two 1-yard touchdown runs in the third quarter for Washington (4-11). Sanchez was 37-of-50 for 374 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Riley Cooper. Tight end Zach Ertz set an Eagles franchise record with 15 catches for a career-high 115 yards. A rough third quarter actually began favorably for the Eagles, who started in the red zone after Andre Roberts fumbled the opening kickoff of the second half. Philadelphia failed to capitalize on the turnover when Cody Parkey missed a 34-yard field goal wide right. Washington benefited from a pair of roughing the passer penalties on their next drive. The second infraction set up the first of Youngs two short touchdown runs on 1st-and-goal. The normally reliable Parkey then missed a 46-yard try wide right after LeSean McCoy was wrapped up for no gain on 3rd-and-1 at the Washington 28. The rookie had missed only two attempts (29-of-31) through the first 14 games. On the ensuing Washington drive, former Eagle DeSean Jackson caught a 55-yard pass, beating cornerback Bradley Fletcher on the play, and drew a pass interference penalty in the end zone. Young scored to give the Redskins a 24-14 lead with 26 seconds left in the third. The Eagles rallied as Sanchez found Cooper for a 16-yard touchdown and Parkey made a 22-yard field goal following a Griffin interception. Philadelphia coughed the ball up on the games opening drive. Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan forced a Sanchez fumble on a sack and made the recovery at the Philadelphia 47-yard line. Forbath kicked a 25-yard field goal to give Washington a 3-0 lead. The Redskins defense then made a stop, but Breeland was charged with an illegal use of hands penalty to extend the drive. Instead of a three-and-out, the Eagles marched 79 yards in 10 plays. McCoy ran around the right end for an 11-yard touchdown. The Redskins regained the lead with a quick response. Jackson beat Fletcher for a 51-yard grab. The catch put Jackson over the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Alfred Morris rumbled 28 yards for a touchdown on the next play to make it 10-7 with 19 seconds left in the first quarter. The Eagles moved back in front with a 15-play, 93-yard drive in the second quarter. Sanchez converted a 3rd-and-25 with a 26-yard pass to Jordan Matthews and later hit Cooper on a 3-yard slant for a touchdown. Philadelphia looked to add to its lead before halftime, but punted after reaching the Washington 40. Game Notes Philadelphia leads the league with 35 turnovers ... Morris rushed for 83 yards on 21 carries. He joined Stephen Davis (1999-2001) as the only running backs in team history to rush for 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons ... Kerrigan became the first Redskins player to record a sack in five consecutive games since Fred Stokes in 1991 ... Jackson is the fifth player to reach 1,000 receiving yards in his first season with Washington. Howards plan worked. He had 17 points and 10 rebounds by halftime on the way to a 26-point night to help the Rockets cruise to their third straight win, a 119-98 victory over the Kings. Howard also had 13 rebounds and four blocks and James Harden added 24 points and nine assists before the pair went to the bench for the fourth quarter. "The last couple of games against those guys, I didnt come out aggressive like I needed to on both ends of the floor," Howard said. "Ive been looking at some film and I wanted to get off to a better start. Its not just about scoring. Its defence and things like that." The Rockets took the lead midway through the first quarter and didnt trail again. The Kings struggled after losing top scorers Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins to injuries before halftime. Gay, who tied a career high with 41 points on Tuesday night, injured his left Achilles tendon in the first quarter and Cousins sprained his left ankle in the second. Sacramento coach Mike Malone didnt have any more information on the injuries after the game and said that theyd know more on Thursday. "It was a big loss to lose both of those guys in the first half," Malone said. "Unfortunately, those other guys that were able to play didnt respond. We got our (tails) kicked tonight and were a no-excuse team ... so the fact that we guarded no one tonight has nothing to do with them not being able to play in the second half." Derrick Williams scored 22 points with 11 rebounds and Isaiah Thomas added 20 points for the Kings. Houston led by 15 points entering the fourth quarter and padded its lead with Harden and Howard relaxing on the bench in their warm-up shirts. They used a 15-3 spurt in the first 4 1/2 minutes of the fourth to make it 103-76. Sacramento missed eight shots, including three layups in that span, and its only points came on free throws by Williams. The Rockets were up by nine points early in the third quarter before scoring 10 straight points to stretch their advantage to 65-46. Chandler Parsoons and Patrick Beverley both had 3-pointers in that stretch. Wholesale Florida Jerseys. Jimmer Fredette made a 3-pointer that cut Houstons lead to 11 points with about eight minutes left in the second quarter. Cousins went down on Sacramentos next possession when he was knocked to the court on a hard foul by Beverley as he drove to the basket. Beverley stood over him for a second while he was down and Beverley received a technical. Cousins entered the game leading the team in scoring (23.1) and rebounding (11.7). He scored just two points before getting hurt, snapping a streak of 30 straight games with at least 10 points. The Rockets used a 6-2 spurt after that to extend their lead to 44-29. Sacramento got within eight two times after that in the second quarter, but Howard scored six points with two alley-oop dunks in the last 1 1/2 minutes of the first half to help the Rockets lead 55-44 at the break. The Kings were up by five points early before Houston used a 14-5 run to take a 21-17 lead with about three minutes left in the first quarter. Gay, who entered the game averaging 20.2 points, was injured at the beginning of that run, which was powered by eight points from Harden. Houston coach Kevin McHale was impressed with Hardens work on Wednesday night. "He started getting to the rim," McHale said. "I thought we were settling for a lot and playing East and West. We told them to get to the hole and put pressure on the basket and they did." Gay has started all 21 games for the Kings since being traded from Toronto on Dec. 9. Aaron Gray received a flagrant foul soon after that when he grabbed Harden as he was heading to the basket. Harden made both free throws as part of an 8-2 run that put the Rockets up 29-22 at the end of the first. Omri Casspi added 20 points and tied a career-high with 12 rebounds and Parsons added 19 points with 10 rebounds. NOTES: Houstons Terrence Jones missed his second straight game with a deep thigh bruise and Ronnie Brewer sat out with a sore calf. ... Sacramentos Quincy Acy and Harden both received technical fouls on the same play in the third quarter. ...   Despite being 0-20 when trailing

Buffalo Sabres 4 Winnipeg Jets 2 - The Jets return home with a split in the two game trip, a win in Columbus and the loss in Buffalo. Air Max Australia Online . Jets now back to .500 on the road and a game below .500 on the season. Next up, a home game Friday against Florida (TSN Jets, TSN 1290), then another back-to-back road trip, Sunday in Vancouver and Monday in Edmonton. (Both TSN Jets, TSN 1290). Jets are 0-3-1 in the second game of back-to-backs. The first period was scoreless thanks to Ondrej Pavelec. The Jets were outshot 19-7. It was the most shots the Jets have given up in one period this season and the most the Sabres have had in one period this season. Sabres have scored just seven first period goals in 34 games. The Jets struck quickly to start the second as Mark Scheifele beat Ryan Miller twice in 36 seconds. That is the fastest two road goals by the same player in franchise history. It was his first multi goal game, with   all six of his goals coming on the road. His point streak is now at four (3-2-5). He now has 10 points in his last 12 games (5-5-10) and six points in his last six games (4-2-6). Scheifele is a plus 6 over the past 12 games, with eight of those games on the road.  At 10:16 of the second the Sabres got on the board with Steve Ott notching his fourth. Jets outshot the Sabres 12-5 in the second. Despite being 0-20 when trailing going into the third, the Sabres kept coming at the Jets and were the better team. Fifty seconds in Marcus Foligno tied the game with his 4th, and 1:41 later Matt Moulsons power play goal gave the Sabres their first lead of the game. Matt Ellis put the game away at 13:38 with his first of the year. Sabres outshot the Jets 31-27, the first time in seven games the Jets failed to outshoot their opponent. Despite a solid effort, Pavelec is now winless in his last five decisions. Eric ODell made his NHL debut, called up from St. Johns with James Wright out with the flu. ODell played 4:39, missed the net with three shots and had one hit. The 23 year old led the IceCaps in scoring last year and is leading them again this season. Anthony Peluso sat out game two of his three game suspension, Zach Bogosian again practiced with the team but nothing firm on his status for Friday. Jim Slater, Paul Postma and Matt Halischuk remain long term. For the second straight game Evander Kane recorded six shots on goal with the line of Kane/Scheifele and Michael Frolik the Jets best line. Dustin Byfuglien led in ice time but at 23:41 it was his lowest total of the season. The Jets power play streak of scoring in four straight games also came to an end, as they failed to score on the one opportunity they had. The Jets did kill a 31 second three on five in the first and are now six for six when two men down. "I never liked the game from the start," said Coach Claude Noel. "If not for Pav the game would have been over in the first. But we got the lead in the second, only to have the momentum really shift in the third. When you defend and check the right way, you get rewarded. You cant go in spurts. They were first on pucks in the first, we managed to forecheck better in the second, we skated better. The plan for the third was to put pucks deep and put pressure on them." Noel felt Scheifele was their best player. The Jets will hold their annual skills competition Wednesday at MTS Centre, starting at 7pm. Air Max Australia Cheap . Winning more at home probably should be on the list. The Flames look to avoid a fifth defeat in six home games by winning a sixth straight meeting with the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night. Air Max Australia . Sources tell TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun the international tournament will likely return in September 2016 rather than 2015. http://www.australiaairmax.com/ . A better question yet may be this: How many times has the same player been involved in both? Morneau hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning and helped the Colorado Rockies turn the third triple play in team history as they beat the San Diego Padres 8-6 on Sunday. MIAMI -- LeBron James set the tone pregame. Dwyane Wade took over in the fourth quarter. And the Miami Heat got a win they desperately wanted. Wade scored 13 of his 22 points in the final period and led a critical 12-0 run down the stretch, James led all scorers with 23 points and the Heat clinched a playoff spot by beating the Washington Wizards 99-90 on Monday night to snap a three-game losing streak. "We needed a win," Wade said. "We needed this win." Chris Bosh scored 22 for the Heat (44-17), who moved within one game of Indiana (46-17) in the race for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and 1 1/2 games behind San Antonio (46-16) for the leagues best record. Ray Allen added 13 for Miami, which was coming off a trip where it lost at Houston, San Antonio and Chicago, the last of those coming in a late collapse on Sunday. Wade hasnt typically played back-to-backs this season. He did this time, and the Heat simply rolled with him in the final minutes on the way to avoiding what would have been their first four-game slide since 2011. "He made the right plays," James said. Bradley Beal scored 18 points, Martell Webster added 17 and Drew Gooden scored 15 for the Wizards. Marcin Gortat finished with 14 points and a career-high-tying 18 rebounds -- 10 of them in the first quarter alone. John Wall finished with eight assists for Washington. "Im proud of our guys," Wizards coach Randy Wittman said. "They kept battling, working. We didnt shoot it the way were capable of. We got some good looks. We shared the ball. We attacked the whole game." Washington led 84-83 midway through the fourth, when Wade took over. A three-point play put Miami ahead to stay and he then had assists on Miamis next three baskets -- a short jumper and then a 3-pointer from Bosh, then a layup by James. Wade capped the run with a score of his own, on the way to his first 13-point, three-assist fourth quarter since Feb. 18, 2009. His 13 in the fourth marked his highest-scoring quarter this season, and came with him playing consecutive days for the first time since Jan. 4 and 5. It was only the third time all season hes appeared in both nights of a back-to-back. Both teams shot only nine free throws; despite bbeing in attack mode, James didnt shoot one for the second straight game, just the second time thats happened in his career, the first coming in December 2003, early in his rookie season. Cheap Air Max. "Very surprised," James said. James went scoreless for a stretch of nearly 15 minutes in the first half, and still easily led everyone with 19 points by intermission. The entirety of his first-half scoring came in two impressive spurts -- three 3-pointers in as many tries over a span of 2:43 early in the game, then 10 straight Heat points in a stretch of 3:23 late in the half. "I felt good about this game the minute, the second I saw LeBron come into the gym today," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "We had an early walkthrough and he ran in the gym. Came up to every single person, player and coach and shook everybodys hand and said, Lets go. Lets get ready for this game. Thats what leaders do." Miamis lead was 12 early in the third before Washington went on a 10-0 run, with Gortat scoring the first eight and Trevor Bookers jumper getting the Wizards within 59-57. And after Miami rebuilt the lead to seven, Washington took off on another quick burst, this one enough to give the Wizards their first lead since 1-0. In less than 2 minutes, Washington outscored Miami 11-0, Webster scoring six in 25 seconds. He head-faked James in the air to start what became a four-point play, then had an alley-oop dunk off a Wall pass on the next possession as Washington took a 65-64 lead. "I think we match up with those guys perfect," Wall said. "We battle those guys." Allen had two 3s for the Heat late in the third, and it was 73-all entering the fourth. The Wizards scored only 17 points in the final 12 minutes. "We saw a few things," Wade said, "and we were able to take advantage."   25 players from selection camp
Enviado por: jinshuiqian0713 - Hoy, 01:40 AM - Foro: General - Sin respuestas

TORONTO, Ontario -- Coach Brent Sutter liked what he saw even if his Canadian junior team dominated the CIS Toronto Selects in exhibition play on Saturday afternoon. Authentic Lauri Markkanen Jersey . Connor McDavid, the 16-year-old prodigy who draws most of the attention, scored Canadas first goal and big Josh Anderson threw his weight around and scored as Canada downed the Selects 3-0. Left winger Charles Hudon finished it off with an empty-net goal in the final minute. "I was pleased with a lot of things," said Sutter. "There were times in the third where we have to be careful in our own zone. We cant be soft on pucks. We have to do everything hard and do it the right way. "But if you look at the opportunities we had. All three of their goalies played really well for them, but it was good to see. We did a lot of good things." Canada dominated the play and outshot the Selects 56-20. Sutter isnt worried that, considering the number of chances they produced, the finish around the net wasnt quite there yet. It was only the second day of a three-day camp at the Mastercard Centre to kick off preparations for the world junior championship that begins Dec. 26 in Malmo, Sweden. The team will have an off-ice workout Sunday morning before flying to Sweden, where they will play pre-tournament games against Finland, the Swedes and Switzerland before the real games begin. The team will take all 25 players from selection camp to Europe, with no cuts being made in Canada. "I know all these guys can score goals," said Sutter. "So its getting them to become a team first and foremost. Getting them to understand roles theyll have to play on this team and making sure everything is within the confines of how we want to play, our identity as a hockey team." There are 25 players in camp and the roster will be trimmed to 22 -- two goalies, seven defencemen and 13 forwards -- for the tournament. No cuts will be made until the squad gets to Sweden. They could come after the first pre-tournament game Dec. 20 against the Finns. Sutter had encouraging news on Jonathan Drouin, the gifted winger who is expected to be an offensive motor for Canada. The Halifax Mooseheads star, who suffered a concussion last week in Quebec Major Junior Hockey league play, was symptom free after riding a stationary bike and may be fit to resume skating when the team gets to Europe. "Well get him to go a little farther (on Sunday) and if that goes well, well get him on the ice when we go overseas," the coach said. The juniors owned the puck against the Selects, a team put together from three university squads, and Sutter gave plenty of ice time to the unit of McDavid, 2014 draft prospect Sam Reinhart and left winger Hunter Shinkaruk. McDavid is vying to become the sixth skater to play for Canadas world junior squad at 16, after Wayne Gretzky, Jason Spezza, Eric Lindros, Jay Bouwmeester and Sidney Crosby. He helped his bid with a strong effort against the Selects. "I was okay," the skinny, six-foot phenom said. "I felt pretty good out there. "The pace was pretty good. The guys were a lot older, a lot bigger. I felt I had my legs. I felt the team played very well for our first game together. We didnt give up a whole lot defensively, which was good." Canada outshot the students 19-3 in the opening period and had Hudon, Reinhart and Curtis Lazar hit goalposts. Still, the Selects first-period goalie Garrett Sheehan kept it scoreless. The period offered several special teams situations, including one-man and two-man advantages and 4-on-4 play. McDavid and Reinhart got ice time in all of them. McDavid even played the right point on a two-man advantage. "That was a little different," the Erie Otters star said. "(Sutter) wants to try some things out. "I will do whatever he wants me to. It was nice to play the power play and everything like that. There are 15 other forwards that can do that. I just want to worry about keeping my play up." McDavid finally got a goal on a power play 13:37 into the second period against Andrew Perugini, and was dangerous around the net for most of the game. Asked about McDavid, Sutter grinned and said "he really did a good job." Then there was the six-foot-two Anderson, a Columbus Blue Jackets prospect who plays by the Brian Burke buzzword "truculence." He not only dished out checks, but got a goal 15 seconds into the third period, picking the top corner behind Troy Passingham after a feed from behind the net from Rychel. His line with Rychel and six-foot-four Frederik Gauthier also stood out. "As the game went on, that line really got their legs under them," said Sutter. "Theyre all big guys that can skate. "They play a heavy game. They get on the forecheck hard and theyre smart. Its nice to have that size on your team and who play that way." Hudon had a wild night, missing on two breakaways before finally picking off a cross-ice pass and going in alone to score the empty-netter. Zachary Fucale started for Canada and Jake Paterson took over at 10:06 of the second to share the shutout. Fucale had to be sharp on two chances by Andrew Buck early in the second after a turnover in Canadas end. "There wasnt that many shots, but I kept my focus and did some good things out there and thats what we want," said Fucale. "The team played well in front of me, which made it easy on me," said Fucales camp roommate Paterson. "But all in all it was a good game." Normally, Canada has its goalies play for both teams when it faces a CIS squad, but Sutter said he didnt want his goalies playing against each other. Notes: Canada scratched four players -- Griffin Reinhart, Bo Horvat, Josh Morrissey and Nic Petan. Sutter said Morrissey came to camp with soreness from an injury and they opted to rest him. The other were players who are all-but locks to make the team . . The CIS team was made up of players from York, Toronto and Ryerson universities. The 14th match-up of the Round of 32 sees the Sedin twins team-up to take on Detroit Red Wings winger Tomas Tatar. Daniel and Henrik Sedin have never had trouble finding one another on the ice, but this play is on a whole other level. Henrik takes the point pass from Edler on the power play and is immediately stick-checked by Jeff Petry. Pulling the puck back, he fires a blind cross-ice pass through his own legs. It, naturally, goes right to the tape of his twin brother who fires a one-timer that Devan Dubnyk cant handle. Tatars play also features a pair oof teammates coming together. Authentic Bobby Portis Jersey. Streaking over the blue line, Tatar feels a pair of Dallas defenders closing in on him. As Brenden Dillon moves in for the big hit, Tatar hesitates and the Stars d-man catches teammate Cameron Gaunce square on, sending both players flying. DALLAS -- Ricky Rubio hasnt given up on the idea of Minnesota making the playoffs. Authentic Myles Turner Jersey . The case is a little easier to make after the Timberwolves avoided what would have been a disastrous loss in Dallas. Rubio had a triple-double, Kevin Love scored the last of his 35 points with the go-ahead basket late in overtime, and the Timberwolves hung on for a 123-122 victory over the Mavericks on Wednesday night after blowing several leads. Minnesota broke a six-game stretch of alternating wins and losses with a second straight victory to move two games over .500 for the first time since Nov. 23. The Timberwolves (34-32) are still 5 1/2 games behind Dallas and Memphis for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with 16 games to go. But at least they didnt lose after squandering a 22-point lead in the first half and a 13-point edge with 7 minutes to go. "It was a big game against a tough team who is fighting for the playoffs, too," said Rubio, who had 22 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds for his third career triple-double. "We want to try to catch up to them." Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 for Dallas and put the Mavericks ahead with a fadeaway over Love with 33 seconds left in overtime before Love scored on a jump hook with 17 seconds to go. Nowitzki missed on another try over Love in the final seconds as the Mavericks saw a three-game winning streak end and missed a chance to move a season-high 15 games over .500. "This is a tough one," said Nowitzki, who had his second straight tough shooting night at 11 of 27. "This feels like a playoff loss. It really does. I dont even know what to say." Monta Ellis scored the last 12 Dallas points of regulation on a three-point play and three consecutive 3-pointers, the last one giving the Mavericks their first lead since early in the first quarter at 113-111. Rubio answered with a pair of free throws for the tie with 50 seconds left. Nowitzki missed a 3-pointer to finish his 0-for-5 shooting in the fourth quarter, but Kevin Martin missed from just inside the arc and Robbie Hummel missed from just outside it for Minnesota. Dallas Devin Harris was short on a mid-court heave at the buzzer in regulation. "We knew they were going to go on a run," said Love, who was 11 of 20 from the field and 11 of 14 from the line. "We will take the win, whether it is in regulation or overtime." Nowitzki hit his first shot of overtime from the baseline and added a 3-pointer for a 120-115 lead, but the Timberwolves went back in front by a point on a reverse layup from Rubio and four free throws from Love. All five Minnesota starters were in double figures. Martin scored 19, Corey Brewer had 11 of his 13 points during Minnesotas fast start in the first quarter and Gorgui Dieng had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Former Dallas guard J.J. Barea had 15 points. Ellis finished with 22 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter and overtime. Shawn Marion had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Sam Dalembert had 14 boards. Early in the game, the Dallas defence didnt look anything like a unit that had held consecutive teams to less than 40-per cent shooting. Minnesota was at 69 per cent after Dieng hit a hook shot to give the Timberwolves their biggest lead at 50-28 early in the second quarter. The Mavericks had six of their 16 turnovers in the first quarter, and several led to breakaway baskets for Brewer. "They were aggressive. We were sloppy," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said. "The first quarter was really the biggest factor in the game." The Mavericks forced four straight misses to spark a 24-5 run that got them back in the game. Nowitzki opened the spurt with a jumper, and Jae Crowder finished it with a dunk after a steal by Jose Calderon to make it 55-52. NOTES: Rubio had seven assists in the first quarter, one more than Dallas as a team. Minnesota had 12 for the quarter. ... Ellis was called for a technical after getting his fourth foul in the third quarter. Referee Monty McCutchen screamed at Ellis that he had been warned four times as Ellis walked to the Dallas bench. Authentic Victor Oladipo Jersey . LA (SportsNetwork. Cheap Pacers Jerseys . The 24-year-old right winger has one assist in nine games this season with the Sabres. Jacobs scored two in the first end, but Jahr briefly took charge with two in the second end and two more in the third. Jacobs, from Sault. Marie, Ont., gave Canada some breathing room, following his big fourth end by adding two more points in the fifth to go up 7-4.NASHVILLE -- Florida coach Billy Donovan knows his newly top-ranked Gators are an even bigger target for opponents. They just keep finding ways to finish off victories. Dorian Finney-Smith scored 19 points, and Florida, playing its first game at No. 1, held off Vanderbilt 57-54 on Tuesday night to clinch at least a share of its second straight Southeastern Conference title and seventh overall. The Gators are 13-2 in games decided by single digits after losing all six last season, and Donovan said their margin for error is not very big. "Were not an overly talented team, were just not," Donovan said. "And what these guys have done up to this point in time it really has been pretty remarkable in my opinion. Theyve done a really good job. ... But I think sometimes when you see a team with a high ranking you think dominance, you think they just blow everybody out. Thats not what we are or who we are." Patric Young added 12 points for the Gators (26-2, 15-0 SEC), who continued the best season in school history by winning their 20th straight game, and they will have a chance to claim their third SEC title in four years all to themselves with a win against LSU on Saturday. "Humbling to know that we can come from where we were not being able to do it last year and be able to finish out these close games this year," Young said. The Commodores (15-12, 7-8) beat Florida 83-70 the last time the Gators came into Memorial Gym ranked No. 1, on Feb. 17, 2007. Coach Kevin Stallings only has seven healthy scholarship players right now, and they proved no match for Floridas smothering defence and much deeper bench. "We did a good job, but thats why theyre the No. 1 team in the country," Stallings said. "Theyve got weapons. They throw it to the open guy, and that guy usually delivers. Thats why theyve lost two games." The Commodores sure made it interesting. Kyle Fuller missed a tying 3 in the final seconds when Luke Kornet was guarded closely by Young, and Dai-Jon Parker missed a putback attempt. "Coach drew up a play for Luke to run a flare screen, but when he got it Patric was kind of on him," said Fuller, who scored the final seven points for Vandy. "When I got it I thought I creatted enough space, but when it left my hand it just didnt feel right. Authentic Paul George Jersey. " Rod Odom scored 12 points and Parker added 11 as Vanderbilt outshot Florida 48.8 per cent (20 of 41) to 40.4 per cent (21 of 52). The Commodores hit four of eight 3-point attempts in the second half to stay close. The Commodores came in 8-16 all-time against top-ranked teams tapping into what they like to call Memorial magic in Nashville. The old gym wasnt sold out Tuesday night, but fans certainly were as loud as they have been all season trying to urge Vanderbilt to an improbable upset. Florida led 32-25 at halftime and pushed that out to 53-45 only to see Vanderbilt rally each time. Fullers three-point play with 3:16 remaining made it 53-50. Finney-Smith hit a free throw, then Vanderbilt forced a shot clock violation when Wilbekins desperate shot from long range banked off the backboard and rim. Fuller made two free throws with a minute left. Finney-Smith got the ball wide open and knocked down a 3 with 30.6 seconds to go for the clinching basket. Finney-Smith had been in a slump, scoring in double digits only once in the past 11 games. "I just shot the ball with confidence," Finney-Smith said. "Usually, I throw it in for Patric, but the forward was holding for Pat so I could replace, we did a roll and replace, and I was wide open for 3." Fuller answered with a driving layup. Wilbekin dribbled away precious seconds before being fouled only to miss the front end of a 1-and-1. Vanderbilt took a timeout to set up a tying shot but couldnt connect allowing Florida to avoid overtime. Florida outrebounded Vanderbilt 32-26 and had a 13-1 scoring edge in second-chance points. The Gators bench also outscored the Commodores 25-11. The Gators forced 11 of Vanderbilts 16 turnovers in the first half. Even as the Gators swarmed Vanderbilt defensively, pressing early and often, they couldnt shut down the Commodores. Florida scored 13 straight points to take the lead for good in the first half. Wilbekins jumper tied it up, then Casey Prather stole the ball and dunked to put Florida ahead to stay at 13-11 with 11:52 to go. Michael Frazier hit consecutive 3s to cap the spurt and put the Gators up 22-11 and 32-25 at halftime. Conway, SC (SportsNetwork. Authentic Rick Barry Jersey .com) - Coastal Carolina could have stewed for the last two weeks over a blocked field goal attempt on the final play of the regular season, which spoiled its perfect record. Instead, the Chanticleers went out and did something about. Seventh-seeded Coastal took its frustration out on Richmond with a 36-15 rout in the second round. Coastal (12-1) will travel to second-seeded North Dakota State for the national quarterfinals next weekend. A year ago, the Chanticleers fell to NDSU, 48-14, in the final eight. The only blemish on Coastals record was the 15-14 loss to Liberty to end the regular season on Nov. 22. The Chanticleers had a 24-yard chip shot blocked to end that game and were forced to share the Big South Conference title with Liberty. But coach Joe Moglias squad, coming off a first-round bye, played with focus in ending Richmonds season one week after the visiting Spiders (9-5) eliminated Morgan State from the playoffs. The Chanticleers rushed for 316 yards to overcome Richmond quarterback Michael Strauss 402 passing yards. Coastal Carolina clung to a 6-0 lead late in the second quarter until they capped an 11-play, 58-yard drive with Alex Ross 13-yard touchdown pass to tight end Craig Weick with 33 seconds left in the first half. Austin Cain ran in the two-point conversion and the Chanticleers had a 14-0 halftime lead. It got much worse for Richmond in the third quarter. Andre Johnson scored on a 9-yard run to give Coastal a 21-0 lead at the 12:13 mark. The Spiders answered with Strauss 76-yard touchdown pass to Brian Brown to pull within 21-7. But Henderson broke off a 50-yard touchdown run on the Chanticleers ensuing drive and Ross scored from 1 yard out just before the end of the quarter to push the lead to 36-8. Henderson finished with 134 yards on 19 carries and Ross was 22-for-41 for 171 yards and a touchdown, adding 52 yards on the ground. Senior linebacker Quinn Backus was dominant as he led the Coastal defense with 10 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, 1.5 tackles for losses, two pass breakups and two quarterback hurries. Sijsling, ranked 74th in the world, was leading 6-0, 4-1 when his Italian opponent called it quits after just 39 minutes on court. In a match pitting together two qualifiers, Michal Przysiezny of Poland defeated local favourite Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (4) for only his second Tour win of the season.PINEHURST, N.C. -- For only the second time, golfs oldest major championship will be played in Northern Ireland when the British Open returns to Royal Portrush Golf Club in 2019. Media reports from Ireland and the United Kingdom said the Royal & Ancient, golfs governing body outside the United States and Mexico, will make the formal announcement Monday. The R&A denied reports about a return to Portrush last summer, saying the course was championship-calibre but questioning whether the infrastructure could accommodate the events big galleries. There was speculation that R&A officials may have changed their minds after Ted Bishop, president of the PGA of America, said last November that his group was interested in Portrush as a venue for the PGA Championship if the event was to be held outside the United States. The earliest date that might happeen would be 2020. Warriors Jerseys China. . Major champions and Northern Irishmen Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke and Graeme McDowell had been lobbying on Portrushs behalf. "Ive been kind of hesitant to comment because I really didnt want to take anything away from the official announcement," said McDowell, who was three shots off the lead Thursday after the opening round of the U.S. Open at Pinehurst. "So Im very proud of where I grew up. Im very proud of the tradition and history there, and to bring an Open Championship back to Northern Ireland is very special. It speaks volumes about how far the country has come." The only time the Open was only played outside England and Scotland was 1951, when Max Faulkner won at Portrush. LOS ANGELES, Calif. Authentic Chris Bosh Jersey . - Although Russell Westbrook grew up watching Kobe Bryant sink innumerable enormous shots for the Lakers, the Los Angeles native didnt worry when No. 24 had the ball with the game on the line against his Oklahoma City Thunder.Ive got confidence in the people that we have on our team to lock in at the end, Westbrook said. Thanks to Westbrooks offence and just enough defence on Bryants last shot, the Thunder won without Kevin Durant.Westbrook scored 31 points and hit a key jumper with 38 seconds left, and Oklahoma City overcame the NBA MVPs absence for a 104-103 victory Friday night.Bryant missed a 17-foot jumper right before the buzzer, the culmination of his 3-for-15 shooting night under the defence of Andre Roberson and his teammates.Reggie Jackson scored 25 points and hit the go-ahead free throws with 1:05 left for the Thunder, who persevered down the stretch for their eighth victory in nine games. We did a lot of good things tonight, Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. We had opportunities to defend, and everybody stepped up. We have a team full of defenders, and everyone has to do their job.Especially without Durant, who sat out after spraining his right ankle in the first half of the Thunders loss at Golden State on Thursday night. Although Durants X-rays were negative and the sprain was mild, Oklahoma City elected to be cautious with its superstar, who only made his season debut in early December after surgery on a broken right foot. After Westbrook put the Thunder up 104-101 in the final minute, Jeremy Lin hit a jumper with 32 seconds left. Westbrook missed a shot to set up the Lakers final shot, but Bryants jumper clanged off the rim.Bryant said he got the shot he wanted, but couldnt decide whether to try to draw contact.I didnt have my legs tonight, Bryant said. It was pretty frustrating. Ive got to figure it out. Its kind of hit-and-miss. Some games its there, and some games its not. Ive just got to keep trying different things to get the proper rest.Bryant had nine points, eight rebounds and eight assists for the Lakers, who had won three of four. He put the Lakers up 99-98 with 2:36 left on a gorgeous fall-away jumper, but it was his only basket of the fourth quarter, where he went 1 for 5.Ed Davis had a season-high 18 points and nine rebounds for the Lakers. After Ronnie Price scored 11 points for the Lakers in the first 5 1/2 minutes, Westbrook led the Thunder back with 21 points in the first half, including 13 free throws without a miss.___TIP-INSThunder: Durant has missed 18 games this season after missing just 16 in his first seven NBA seasons combined. ... Jackson converted a four-point play in the third quarter. ...Serge Ibaka scored 16 points.Lakers: Coach Byron Scott voiced pregame support for Lin, who lost his starting job and entered this game in a shooting slump. Scott says Lin has to stop thinking so much ... but I think it will start clicking for him pretty soon. ... The Lakers honoured Bryant before the game for passing Michael Jordan and moving into third place on the NBAs career scoring list during their recent road trip. Bryant was joined by his wife and daughters on the court. ... The Lakers have lost 14 of 18 to the Thunder.TOSSED OUTNick Young was ejected with 11:24 to play after he retaliated to contact from Steven Adams with a forearm and elbow to the throat of the Oklahoma City centre. Young said Adams is a sneaky, dirty player, but Young also blamed himself for the ejection, saying he lost my mind a little bit, checked into the crazy house and got back out. Young had 10 points before his ejection. He was doing his job. He got me kicked out of the game. Thats what they put him in the game to do, Young said.UP NEXTThunder: Host New Orleans on Sunday.Lakers: At Sacramento on Sunday. Authentic Tim Hardaway Jersey . Stitched Heat Jerseys Online . -- EJ Manuel followed the worst game of his career with the best. http://www.cheapheatjerseysauthentic.com...nyk-jersey .com) - Scott Parel carded a 5-under 65 on Thursday and he grabbed a 1-stroke lead after one round of the season-opening Panama Claro Championship.Richard RiotOn March 13th, 1955 Maurice "Rocket" Richard was high-sticked in the face and cut for five stitches by Bruins defenceman Hal Laycoe. In the ensuing melee, Richard smashed Laycoe in the face with his stick, knocked out a linesman, and narrowly avoided being arrested by the Boston police. Or whats known in NHL circles as "hockey." Commissioner Clarence Campbell suspended Richard for the duration of the season and playoffs, which enraged the entitled Canadiens fan base. When Campbell attended the next Habs home game, the fans pelted him with eggs, vegetables, and other inexplicably handy detritus. A tear gas bomb was set off in the Forum to diffuse the situation, and the building was evacuated. What followed was a riot that engulfed the neighbourhood around the Forum, injuring over 40 policemen and civilians, resulting in $500000 ($4.5 million in 2014 dollars) in damages and dozens of arrests. The chaos lasted until 3am, interestingly also closing time for Montreal bars. The riot has taken on a mythology typical of Quebecs relationship with hockey. Many cite the Anglophone suspension of a Francophone player as a contributing factor in the Quiet Revolution of the 1960s. Others simply argue it gives Montrealers an excuse to set fire to stuff after hockey games. Ken Dryden Ken Dryden was drafted 14th overall in 1964 by the Bruins. Later in the day, he was traded to the Habs with Alex Campbell for Paul Reid and Guy Allen. Campbell, Reid, and Allen eventually combined to play zero NHL games, while Dryden would go on to get a BA from Cornell, win six Stanley Cups, get a law degree from McGill, win five Vezinas and a Conn Smythe, write a best-selling book, and be generally considered the best goalie of his generation while contributing to the Habs dominance over the Bruins and the league during that era. So lopsided was the trade that Dryden was unaware of it until the mid-70s. Reid didnt find out until 2002, and that discovery was predicated on the invention of the Internet. Too Many MenThe Bruins-Habs rivalry would reach its heights the 1970s, making it the most enduring and compelling matchup in sports, and creating the template for the hate that exists between the two teams today. Bobby Orr, arguably the best player of his generation, led the Bruins of the era while the Habs were the epitome of what a franchise should be, the crown jewel of the league led by coach Scotty Bowman. No moment would better represent the rivalry than the infamous too many men penalty taken by the Bruins in the 1979 semi-finals. Don Cherry, coaching the Bruins, could never quite get past his counterpart Bowmans Habs, having lost in the finals in 77 and 78. During seventh and deciding game, and having just taken the lead on a Rick Middleton goal, the Bruins were assessed a too many men on the ice penalty. Guy Lafleur would tie the game on the ensuing power play and Yvon Lambert would score in OT to send the Bruins home. Cherry would ultimately lose his job, and eventually end up on Hockey Night in Canada where he would perpetuate the rivalry with his Boston bias, intense hatred of the Habs, and inability to pronounce Francophone surnames. The Canadiens would go on to sweep the Rangers in the Cup final. Though the rivalry would continue, the 80s and 90s were marked mostly with brawls and only two Cups for the Habs.PedroThe Boston-Montreal rivalry extends beyond hockey, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the Pedro Martinez trade from the Montreal Expos to the Boston Red Sox in 1997, which would ultimately signal the end of days for the Expos. Montreal, having already endured the nightmare of a cancelled 1994 season where they were the most dominant team in baseball, and the sell-off or loss of players such as Larry Walker, Marquis Grissom, and Ken Hill, were struggling to maintain relevancy and a fan base. General manager Dan Duqueette (the architect of the 94 team) and a native Massachusite, left to become GM of the Red Sox in 1994, and three years later robbed his former team in acquiring Martinez, the premiere pitcher of his generation and in his prime, for Carl Pavano, Tony Armas Jr. Cheap Heat Jerseys Free Shipping. , and a box of Kleenex. Martinez would go on to be a Sox mainstay and win a World Series in 2004, the same year the Spos left Montreal for Washington. BrosThe drinking age in Massachusetts is 21. The drinking age in Montreal is 18. Kind of. I mean, if you can make your way to a bar in Montreal, youre going to get served. Babies can be seen in sipping from shot glasses. Sweet 16s are held in bars. Its a fun city, the bars are open late, and there are strip clubs everywhere. There are 58 post-secondary institutions in the Boston area. Its a six-hour drive from Boston to Montreal. A forty dollar bus trip. The result? A wealth of bros infiltrating Montreal, a city they hate, to indulge in the citys offerings. Summer nights are marred by puking frat boys, eight to a hotel room, loitering Crescent Street, hitting on unimpressed locals, polluting the air with Boston slang and unearned bravado. So many tucked-in golf shirts. So many Red Sox hats. So many goatees. So many pre-ripped jeans. So many gold crosses on necklaces. So many diamond studs. Its like an Abercrombie ad got a Coors Light ad pregnant at Maroon 5 concert at Fenway and gave birth to an army of bros. Montrealers hate it, yet endure it. It fuels the fire. The Pacioretty Incident and the 2011 Playoffs On March 8th, 2011, while skating down the boards, Habs winger Max Pacioretty was checked into the metal upright that ends the glass by Bruins defenceman Zdeno Chara. The hit, even to the most strident of Bruins supporters, could at best be called gruesome. Pacioretty suffered a severe concussion and a fractured vertebra. Chara received no supplemental discipline, leading to Habs fan outrage and a Montreal police investigation. [Sidebar: You know you have a good rivalry when the police get involved on a regular basis.] Bruins winger Mark Recchi (a former Canadien) openly questioned the severity of Paciorettys injury, despite Recchis inability to complete medical school. The incident provided additional animus for the first round playoff meeting between the teams. Recchi, still not a medical professional, did not relent in his comments. The series went a thrilling seven games, with the Habs P.K. Subban tying game seven late and forcing overtime. Early in OT, the Bruins Nathan Horton scored to win the series. Boston would go on to win the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1972, devastating Habs fans.Pacioretty would recover to become the Habs most prolific goal scorer in twenty years. Mark Recchi would retire after the Cup win, and as of yet is still not a licensed practitioner of medicine.P.K. SubbanHabs and Bruins fans like nothing more (other than victories and Cups) than booing each others players. No more has this been more evident in the current incarnation of the rivalry than in the Bruins disaffection for Habs defenceman Pernell Karl Subban. It seems to be more venomous and vitriolic than hatred of the past, more angry and intense than the booing that Subban gets in nearly every other arena he visits, except the Bell Centre. Id like to write that it isnt racism, but its totally racism. Is my argument anecdotal and biased? Yes, yes it is. But anecdote and bias are the backbone of sports journalism, so Im going to argue that the most contentious of entities in the contemporary Boston-Montreal rivalry is Bruins fans intense and racially motivated hatred of the most dynamic defenceman to lace up Bauers since, well, Bobby Orr. The series will be a bloodbath, no doubt, and add to the legacy of its legend. Boston fans: Please direct your hatred to @mdspry on Twitter. Habs fans: Dont set fire to stuff.
